A Letter to Parents
Our 3rd grade focus is working together to achieve success.
August 17, 2015
Dear Parents, Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child. I look forward to learning with him or her this year, and I need your help to build a solid relationship. Would you please introduce me to your child? On the back of this letter, on a separate piece of paper, or in an e-mail (dclark@chicousd.org) tell me about their strengths, interests, ambitions and changes in the last year. What does your child do to make you proud? How does your child feel about school and learning? Is there anything you think I should be aware of? I’m also interested in knowing how your child uses language at home, speaking, reading, writing and listening. Do they enjoy watching movies or TV? Does your child know a language other than English? By telling me about your child, you can help me make connections between home and school. You are the most important influence in your child’s life, and I would like to work with you to provide the best context for his or her learning. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my letter. Sincerely, Diane L. Clark, 3rd Grade Emma Wilson Elementary School dclark@chicousd.org |
